More quotes from Jill

Last night Poppy was putting the kids to bed, and did a quick recheck. Cole was standing on a bed. Poppy told him, "Cole, don't stand ont he bed." Jill pipes up and says, "Yeah, because that's God's law..." Thinking that Jill would say some thing like 'Obey your parents', Poppy asked her, "Which one?" Jill said, " The one where you don't look under the bathroom door when somebody is in there!" Sometimes God's word is just subject to interpretation.

Same day, the family had pulled into the drive. Jenny noted Lindsay's car was home. Jill asked, "Where's the van?" She was sitting in it. It's never boring around here.

Welcome to our additional addition...

Got the official news today that we are approved for a second SN son from China!
We're so excited, just have to share. We were already to the point of getting
printed for INS approval when we received an email about several children whose
files were about to be returned. One of these children was a child we had
considered when we decided to adopt Charlie, also age 3. We went with Charlie
because we had great video of him, and after everything we had gone thru with
Cole's institutional issues, we really wanted to hedge our bets for minimal
adjustment problems until Cole grows out of his a bit more.

So when I read that email, my heart just couldn't let this child's file be
returned, fearing his complex heart issues might lead to him being labelled
'unadoptable'. Nick and I just looked at each other wondering how in the world
we were going to pay for another adoption (start a reality show, lol)? Will the
agency let us do this- four 3-year olds? Will China allow us to do two
adoptions simultaneously for unrelated children? Will they do this if we submit
the LOIs at separate times?

The agency asked the CCAA about it, and the CCAA requested a copy of our LOI.
We held our breath and the immigration approval, as we would need to amend the
home study for 2 kids, and get state approval of the change. The call came
today that China has said yes, and we will be getting prior approval to adopt
our fourth son, Dalton Channing, who we will fittingly be calling 'Chance'.

Still expect to travel this summer to get both boys at the same time- they
reside about an hour apart in Xi'An. We already caused crowds to form on the
walking streets in China because we have two sons, I can only imagine how it
will be with 4 of them in tow.
